The care and financial needs for Alexandra are staggering. Thankfully, through Lisa's employer - Continental Airlines - the Worthmans are able to benefit from a wonderful health care insurance plan. However, there are limitations on the plan.  After leaving Texas Children's, the Worthmans have been advised the best and most intensive rehabilitation would come through a live- in rehab center. Unfortunately, the closest center for Alexandra is either in San Antonio or Dallas. Lisa must maintain flying to continue the needed health insurance so there will be some finesse with schedules as Dave and Lisa work together to keep work schedules, maintain insurance, keep medical appointments and provided a consistent care plan for Ethan and Alexandra. Thankfully, they have a close knit family and network of friends that will be able to help.

The traveling for Lisa, Dave and their families, the medical bills and upcoming rehabilitation costs will be staggering. There are countless ways family and friends can support the Worthmans in their journey with Rasmuessen's Syndrome. Some of the ways are through organized events, monetary contributions, offering to help with household chores (or hiring a service), transfering your reward or travel miles, prayer, meals, pre-paid gasoline gift cards, pre-paid Texas Children's Hospital parking passes, arranged playdates with Ethan and Alexandra (and mom and dad) and more. The possibilities are endless.
